St Paul’s Cathedral Schools Floating Playground, London

A floating structure is perhaps a world first when it comes to playground design. This incredible concept was presented to us by Kilburn Nightingale Architects, who wanted us to design and build a large structure suspended in mid air. As we believe anything is possible, we were more than happy to bring their concept to life.

The conceptual shape of this structure promotes child’s imagination. This way the structure can be take the form of something new every day. Our job is to make our structure not just look good, but also to cram as much play value into it as possible. Multiple routes on and off the structure allow for continual flow and never ending activity. These routes in and around the structure are also punctuated with seating and calmer areas to allow for social development.
